2026 Tyler Bastian Field Session

The 2026 Tyler Bastian Field Session in Maryland Archeology will return to the Teagues Point archeological site (18CH1005), near Hughesville, Maryland, from 22 May - 1 June, 2026.

- Field Session Lecture Schedule -

ASM has traditionally presented a number of lectures during the annual field session. A schedule of lectures will be posted here as soon as it is available.

- Field Session Lodging -

Due to the location, in sourthern Maryland, Field Session participants from out of the local area may want to procure lodging for this event. ASM has compiled a list of local hotels for you to start your search. We do not have any relationship with these establishments and reccomend that you read reviews or talk to past participants to decide where you would like to stay.

Additionally, primitive camping, at nearby Maxwell Hall, will be available for a limited number of users. If you are interested in camping, check the boxes on the rgistration form indicated the nights you are interested in staying and Field Session Committee organizers will provide you with more information and directions for paying the camping fees. Camping spots are limited and will be provded on a first come, first served basis.

On-line registration is recommended. This will aid field session planners in creation of attendance lists used to determine what work will be performed on specific dates. We will use the E-Mail address provided in your registration to notify you of any changes in field Session plans.
