The Archeological Society of Maryland, Inc. has established four major award categories. Each award is presented annually, as appropriate. The awards are:

• The William B. Marye Award honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Maryland archeology.
  
  
• The Patricia Seitz Teacher of the Year Award recognizes excellence in instruction by developing and/or incorporating archeological content, projects, and/or activities into the classroom.
  
  
• The Student Scholarship Award provides an opportunity for students to participate in ASM's Annual Field Session in Maryland Archeology.
  
  
• The Archeology Month Poster Contest Award is designed to involve and educate students in grades 4 through 8 about the importance of archeology.
