PVAC: The Potomac Valley Archeological Club - Hugh Stabler This talk will focus on the Potomac Valley Archeological Club's exploration by foot and canoe, which located a number of important sites in this region, often with the help of Captain John Smith's map. |

STEARNS MEMORIAL LECTURE: Maryland Archeology-Prior to 1960 - Howard McCord Maryland Archeology before 1960 had a mixed history -- much neglect, but occasional bright spots illuminated by Holmes, Marye, Ferguson, Stephenson, Scmitt, Slattery, Stearns and others. Their work provides the base on which more recent archeologists have built. |
